Accessibility statement
This statement applies to Sport in Numbers, under Decree-Law 83/2018 (Directive (EU) 2016/2102), which requires WCAG 2.1 level AA through standard EN 301 549.
Compliance status
Not assessed. This site is a proof of concept. Automated tests were run; the manual screen-reader and keyboard-only tests required before any release (specification §12.6) have not been done.
What has been done
- Each chart is an image with a summary generated from the data, and has a data table with every value (“Show the data as a table”).
- Colour is never the only way to tell series apart: patterns, dash styles, markers and direct labels are used.
- Chapter colours are paired with text that reaches at least 4.5:1 contrast.
- The pages use no JavaScript and work with the keyboard alone.
- Portuguese text on an English page is marked with the right language.
Known limitations
- Manual screen-reader tests not yet done (specification §12.6).
- English editorial text taken from the 2025 printed edition; titles without an English version appear in Portuguese, flagged.
- Charts are images; the values are always in the data table that follows.
